How to buy a beer in Peru

Peruvian beer for sure is not the best one in the world, not even in the top 10. But you can find some good beers like Cusqueña Malta. It's a dark beer, quite sweet.

Beers are sold in small cans (0.33), small bottles (0.33) or big bottles (0.66). People buy big bottles only for sharing, so they almost always drink from the cups, usually one cup which goes in the circle.

Exactly this beer I wanted to drink on my birthday, so we went to the supermarket for shopping. We found our beer in big bottles in quite good price, so everything was perfect until the cash. There a cashier told us that we cannot buy beers, because we don't have empty bottles. OK, so we wanted to buy them, but it wasn't possible, because they can't sell bottles, they can sell only beer. So if you don't have a bottle you cannot buy a beer.

Fortunately that strict are people only in supermarket, in a small shop in Pachacamac we managed to buy a beer, but way more expensive. Something for something. Now we have bottles :)
